GIRLS IN EGYPT - Beyond Bravery
"Beyond bravery"
EGYPT - "Beyond bravery": These girls were sentenced to 11 years today. The students from Al Azhar were sentenced to 17 years last week. That's the reality of the situation for the anti-coup crowd who could possibly fit under the "Islamist" or "Muslim Brotherhood" label. i.e Terrorist in the secular/military narratives.
Your media darlings, however, don't stay more than 4 hours in a police station. Yet they get all local and international media attention because the world we live in is in a sad place.
The sentencing of around a dozen teenage sisters for 11 years in prison has been yet another outrageous atrocity committed by Sisi.
However since the words and deeds of Sisi, fit into the regional objectives of the US, this verdict too seems just another ignorable crime. For as long as the key objective of US is being fulfilled, which is dilution and disruption of any form of consolidation of Political Islam, the loyal Sisi will merit friendly company and cooperation of official US.
If you have gone through the scene, and the pictures of these brave sisters, you are sure to be left spellbound for at least a few moments. Their is a lesson of audacity, firmness and conviction, and Patience in the face of tests, that perhaps many books cannot teach.
Prophet(saw) said: “The real patience is at the first stroke of a calamity” [Narrated by Anas and recorded in Sahih Al Bukhari vol 2 # 389]
Since the past 2-3 years, the global media has glued to every development of the Arab Spring. And with such a huge coverage, one would naturally expect, that this news will ring alarm bells in global audience in general and the concerned groupes and organizations in particular.
Certainly, this news is yet another high note, in the long long list of crimes against humanity, carried by the regimes, which continue to be sanctioned by the western capitals.
One would expect, that perhaps these young teenagers will be nominated for International Children's peace Prize for asking for peace to return to their country. Perhaps these brave youth will be titled as Global Thinkers in famous magazines for thinking beyond the constraints imposed by Sisi. Would they even be one of the options for the Time Magazine Person of the Year? Will they be given a Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice, for simultaneously studying and standing up for justice? Does their actions of caring for other humans in their country, earn them the Rome Prize for Peace and Humanitarian Action? Are they even eligible for award titles named in French, Spanish or other foreign langauges. Is their act of bravery, worthy of being given the various Global Leadership Awards? Will these young sisters in a metal caged, be welcomed by Obama and the Queen of England? Will any western university give them honorary Degrees? Will they be icons for any upcoming series? Will their be a new book on their views and life?
With all the hype around the Malala story, these questions are obvious. However, do we not already know their answers?
Muslim, Hijabi, Political Islam, and diametrically opposite stance to the wishes of the Western Capitals are sufficent four ingredients that will merit them for one award, i.e 'Little or no sympathy' from the corridors of western powers. They just don't fit the smoke screen which the US has crafted in thin air."

Tribute to John F. Kennedy
A TRIBUTE TO JOHN F.
KENNEDY
November 22, 2013 was the 50th Death anniversary of
the US President who took a stand against "the system"...
“Never before has man had such capacity
to control his own environment,
to end thirst and hunger,
to conquer poverty and disease,
to banish illiteracy and massive human misery.
We have the power to make this
the best generation of mankind in the history of the world
…or make it the last.” ~ John F. Kennedy

"A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea
lives on." John Fitzgerald Kennedy, May 29, 1917-November 22, 1963
November 22, 1963 :
Death of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (18:30 UTC) on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (18:30 UTC) on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was fatally shot by a sniper while traveling with his wife Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally's wife Nellie, in a presidential motorcade.
A ten-month investigation in 1963–64 by the Warren Commission concluded that Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, and that Jack Ruby also acted alone when he killed Oswald before he could stand trial.
Dear President Kennedy,
You were so loved and admired by so many, nation
and worldwide.
The days you reigned were magical and hopeful for
the masses.
It seemed that life could live.
Compassionate you were and so very vigorously
protective of your country.
You embellished in peace, happiness, and justice
for all.
You were so protective and so wonderful that the
Israeli Dual Zionists had to murder you.
You tried to save us all but, Zionists did not want
that.
Zionists knew once you were in power, you would
make too many good differences for humanity. And the people loved you.
Zionists were at risk of non existence and
deterioration.
They were at risk of not being free enough to do as
they pleased in order to exist.
Zionists knew you wanted to take away that
moneymaking machine called Federal Resrves. They knew you did not want them to
have nukes. They also knew you wanted them to be recognized as foreigners in
U.S.
Sincerely, Love Always,
Jo Ann Wescott

Lamenting Pakistan - A Perspective
Another lament for Pakistan
http://www.dawn.com/news/1056521/another-lament-for-pakistan
The article above is from DAWN. Sometimes i think I should share jokes as well but I believe people do have other sources for that. My only concern is whether we are giving honest insights in these times or not. Do read the article and my viewpoint after reading it is given below:
"When we interact and deal with Pakistanis from different social and
economic backgrounds, we'll sadly find that every second person is a
liar and a cheater irrespective of any religious inclination. We will
come across few honest people from both religious and secular segments.
Hence, I think we need to address this fact as well. Pakistan is not
'down' because of religion but because of its corrupt masses and more so
because those in influential positions (in government, politics as well
as private sector) are usurping the rights of others. On the other
hand, the fear of standing before the Lord on Judgment Day could instill
honesty in some conscientious people and in this way religion could
help create a better society. So we need to study things from all
angles."

No escape from obsession
NO ESCAPE!
Movies and shows (both American and Indian) with beautiful actors & actresses that we see in our childhood and youth, spoil the sensitive souls. Those images form as ideals in their minds which they want in their real life too. Media influence leads to obsession with persons in real life & hence it becomes a vicious cycle of emotional disorders. These happenings were comparatively rare when media was not that developed, say a century ago. There is no escape from media today but what should we do then in these times with concern for those with a certain vulnerability amongst the youth? ~ Roman Ahsan.

Martyrdom of Hussain (RA) - A Note:
Martyrdom of Hussain (RA) - A Note:
WE SHOULD NOT FORGET TO PAY TRIBUTE TO "TRUE MARTYRS" IN THESE TIMES:
Each Muharram, we forget that 1st Muharram is the day
of martyrdom of Hadhrat Umar (RA) the second Caliph of Islam who was not only a
strong force for Islam’s mission but his daughter was also married to Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh) himself….
Martyrdom of Hussain (RA) - A Note:
On the day of Ashura,
the 10th day, Imam Husain's (ra) own person was surrounded by his enemies. He
was brave to the last. He was cruelly mutilated. His sacred head was cut off
while in the act of prayer. A mad orgy of triumph was celebrated over his body.
In this crisis we have details of what took place hour by hour. He had 45
wounds from the enemies' swords and javelins, and 35 arrows pierced his body.
His left arm was cut off, and a javelin pierced through his breast. After all
that agony, when his head was lifted up on a spear, his face was the placid
face of a man of God. All the men of that gallant band were exterminated and
their bodies trampled under foot by the horses. The only male survivor was a
child, Husain's son Ali, surnamed Zain-ul-'Abidin - "The Glory of the
Devout." He lived in retirement, studying, interpreting, and teaching his
father's high spiritual principles for the rest of his life.
Zain-ul-'Abidin says:
"I understood that my father meant to inform us of his martyrdom, and
tears almost choked me, but I controlled myself. I realized that a calamity was
about to fall. However, my aunt Zaynab also heard what I had heard, and as she
was a woman, and the women are tender-hearted by nature, and lose patience, she
could not control herself. She got up suddenly and went before her brother
without wearing a veil and said: "Oh! That I should become brotherless! I
wish that I had died earlier. O successor of the deceased and O the refuge of
the survivors! It is today that I am going to be left without mother, father
and brother". On seeing his sister in a distressed condition Imam Husayn
said: "Sister! Be patient lest Satan should make you lose your
self-control".

Getting Married!
Getting Married!
Getting
married is one of the great Sunnahs (ways of Prophet Muhammad pbuh) of
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). However, it is not just a
sunnah itself, but also that it opens up the door to many others as
well. There are many other sunan which only married people can act on,
and which single people are deprived of. Below are just a few of them.
May Allaah Subahanu Wa ta’ala grant all married people, by virtue of
acting on these things, a blissful, loving and lasting relationship; and
may He make it easy for all of us singletons to get married, so that we
can implement them as well.
1) Greet her.
2) Convey salams to her from others.
3) Smile at her.
4) Make dua for her.
5) Honour her friends, even after her death. Send them food from a sacrifice.
6) Eat from the same plate.
7) Drink from the same place where she places her mouth, and eat from the same place where she places her mouth.
8 ) Put a morsel of food in her mouth.
9) Let her comb your hair.
11) Take a ghusl with her from a single container.
12) Teach and advise her in a gentle manner.
13) Go racing with her and let her win. Later, when she puts on weight, race with her again and beat her.
14) Call her by an endearing nickname.
15) Wipe away her tears.
16) Heed her advice.
17) Take her with you on long journeys. If you have more than one wife, let them cast lots to decide who gets to go.
18) Spend time with her in entertainment, and stay with her until she is satisfied.
19) Let her spend time with her friends.
20) Give her time to adorn herself before going to her for intimacy.
21) Do not go to her in the manner of animals.
22) Make this dua before being intimate with her:
Bismillah. Allaahumma jannibnash shaitaan, wa jannibish shaitaana maa razaqtanaa.
23) Wake her up to make salaah at night. If she doesn’t get up, sprinkle water on her face. Specifically on the wedding night.

Gratitude - Wasif's Quote
GRATITUDE - WASIF'S QUOTE:
A WONDERFUL POST IN URDU BY PAKISTANI THINKER
& MYSTIC WASIF ALI WASIF (RA) AND HENCE TRANSLATING:
To feel sorry for yourself, to feel pity for yourself, to prove yourself as
someone who deserves kindness, all this is ingratitude towards Allah (God). Allah
does not burden any human being more than what he or she can bear. Sick (ill)
and weak souls always complain while healthy souls pay gratitude. Criticism of one’s
own life is criticism of Creator. And this criticism deprives you of faith. –
Wasif Ali Wasif (RA) - 1929 – 1993
Difference between bold & extremism
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING BOLD AND EXTREMISM:
An
Islamic reformer or revivalist has great responsibility on his shoulders. He
has to watch his steps and always keep a close check on himself, and be willing
to adjust himself according to the sincere advice/criticism of others. However,
many people fail in this respect. At the start, they are able to keep a stable
pace in their movement but with time they lose control and become very extreme
in their approach towards issues. It should be noted that there is a difference
between being bold and becoming an extremist. Islam is a moderate religion and
a religion for peace, and it also calls for mutual advice. Hence, this is the
time when the sincere advice of others matters which should be welcomed.
Unfortunately, such reformers think they are perfect and carry out their
campaigns with hate instead of calming down. This clearly confirms the notion
that such entities are backed by certain elements for their own agenda. And
this is the time, when we should be wary of their approach and back off! ~

09 November - Iqbal Day
09
November - The birthday of Iqbal
The poetry and philosophy of
Mawlana Rumi bore the deepest influence on Allama Iqbal's mind. Deeply
grounded in religion since childhood, Iqbal began intensely
concentrating on the study of Islam, the culture
and history of Islamic civilization and its political future, while
embracing Rumi as "his guide". Iqbal would feature Rumi in the role of
guide in many of his poems. Iqbal's works focus on reminding his readers
of the past glories of Islamic civilization, and delivering the message
of a pure, spiritual focus on Islam as a source for sociopolitical
liberation and greatness. Iqbal denounced political divisions within and
amongst Muslim nations, and frequently alluded to and spoke in terms of
the global Muslim community or the Ummah.
"Nations are born in the hearts of poets, they prosper and die in the hands of politicians." - Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal

Detachment
Detachment
Detachment
is neither kind nor unkind. It does not imply judgment or condemnation
of the person or situation from which we are detaching. Separating
ourselves from the adverse effects of another person’s alcoholism /
addiction can be a means of detaching: this does not necessarily require
physical separation. Detachment can help us look at our situations
realistically and objectively. Addiction is
a family disease. Living with the effects of someone else’s
addiction(s) is too devastating for most people to bear without help. In
Al-Anon we learn nothing we say or do can cause or stop someone else’s
drinking/using. We are not responsible for another person’s disease or
recovery from it. Detachment allows us to let go of our obsession with
another’s behavior and begin to lead happier and more manageable lives,
lives with dignity and rights, lives guided by a Power greater than
ourselves. We can still love the person without liking the behavior.
IN AL-ANON WE LEARN:
• Not to suffer because of the actions or reactions of other people
• Not to allow ourselves to be used or abused by others in the interest of another’s recovery
• Not to do for others what they can do for themselves
• Not to manipulate situations so others will eat, go to bed, get up, pay bills, not drink/use, or behave as we see fit
• Not to cover up for another’s mistakes or misdeeds
• Not to create a crisis
• Not to prevent a crisis if it is in the natural course of events
DETACHMENT
By learning to focus on ourselves, our attitudes and well-being improve. We allow the alcoholics or addicts in our lives to experience the consequences of their own actions.

Makkah of Today
Commercialism & Makkah of Today:
The Saudis have spoiled Makkah – but the British Museum doesn’t want you to know:
The Masjid Al-Haram is an iconic image for millions of Muslims who dream of making the once-in-a-lifetime Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, but its silhouette has been drastically altered by the luxury hotel and clock tower that now overshadows the religious complex.
Go to the British Museum’s Hajj exhibition if you want a close-up look at Egyptian textiles and medieval Turkish manuscripts.
But if you want to find out the truth about Makkah, and specifically how the Saudis have destroyed and spoiled some of the holiest sites in the Islamic world, you’d be better off staying at home to read this jaw-dropping article in the New Yorker by Basharat Peer.
Here’s what the British Museum didn’t let on in its blockbuster exhibition, which I visited last month.
Looming large over the Grand Mosque and the Kaaba (the black cube-shaped building that is the holiest site in Islam) is the largest and second tallest building in the world, called the Royal Mecca Clock Tower complex.
You can’t miss it (see pic above) – unless, it seems, you’re a British Museum curator. The 2,000-foot hotel certainly didn’t feature in the exhibition.

Peer, a recent pilgrim to Makkah himself, writes with disdain: “When I walked along the western wall of the Kaaba, the Clock Tower felt like a concrete djinn staring down at me, dwarfing the mosque. Filled with resentment, I lowered my head in anticipation on each circumambulation.”
When he enters the Clock Tower complex, he discovers it has the feel of “the duty-free section of the Dubai airport”.
“The ground floor is devoted to retailers: stores that sell alcohol-free perfume, prayer mats, and Hajj memorabilia, British and Italian clothing boutiques; luggage shops filled with Samsonite travel bags and Prada totes…”
No wonder some Muslims feel so at home in Harrods.
And the situation in Makkah is worsening: Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah plans to redevelop the centre of the holy city into “high-rises and shopping malls”. Makkah's mayor, Osama al-Bar, justifies all this by saying that “a tower is very much like a mountain in its height”. Never before have "mountains" looked so garish and distressingly ugly.

controlling the money and its issuance." - James Madison (1751-1836),
Father of the Constitution for the USA, 4th US President
"The real menace
of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls
its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it
operates under cover of a self created screen.... At the head of this octopus are
the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking
houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of
powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for
their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political
parties."
- New York City Mayor
John F. Hylan, 1922

of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their head
and have become the undisputed masters of that enormous empire."
-Winston Churchill
Letter to London Press, 1922
"[There] exists a

free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself." -

"I see in the
near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for
the safety of my country… corporations have been enthroned and an era of
corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will
endeavor to prolong it's reign by working upon the prejudices of the people
until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.
"
–President Abraham
Lincoln, November 21, 1864
"For some time I
have been disturbed by the way the CIA has been diverted from it's original
assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy making arm of
the government."
- President Harry
Truman
"A revolution is
coming - a revolution which will be peaceful if we are wise enough;
compassionate if we care enough; successful if we are fortunate enough - but a
revolution which is coming whether we will it or not. We can affect its
character, we cannot alter its inevitability." - John F. Kennedy
If you want total
security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so
on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
We will bankrupt
ourselves in the vain search for absolute security.
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Dependence begets
subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit
tools for the designs of ambition.
- Thomas Jefferson
Rightful liberty is
unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the
equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law
is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of
the individual.
- Thomas Jefferson
It is the common
failing of totalitarian regimes that they cannot really understand the nature
of our democracy. They mistake dissent for disloyalty. They mistake
restlessness for a rejection of policy. They mistake a few committees for a
country. They misjudge individual speeches for public policy.
Lyndon B. Johnson
I would rather belong
to a poor nation that was free than to a rich nation that had ceased to be in
love with liberty.
- Woodrow Wilson
We Americans have no
commission from God to police the world.
- Benjamin Harrison
"America does not
go abroad in search of monsters to destroy." - John Quincy Adams
"To avoid
entangling alliances has been a maxim of our policy ever since the days of
Washington, and its wisdom no one will attempt to dispute." -James
Buchanan
Our forces saved the
remnants of the Jewish people of Europe for a new life and a new hope in the
reborn land of Israel. Along with all men of good will, I salute the young
state and wish it well.
- Dwight D. Eisenhower
"No nation ever
had an army large enough to guarantee it against attack in time of peace, or
ensure it of victory in time of war." -Calvin Coolidge
Commerce with all
nations, alliance with none, should be our motto. - Thomas Jefferson
"There is a
chance for the President of the United States to use this disaster, to carry
out...a phrase his father used I think only once and it hasn't been used since,
and that is a New World Order"
- Gary Hart, Council
On Foreign Relations, September 11th 2001
"It would have
been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been
subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now
more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The
supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely
preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past
centuries." - David Rockefeller
"We are on the
verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the
nations will accept the New World Order"
- David Rockefeller
"Today Americans
would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow
they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an
outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our
very existence.
It is then that all
peoples of the world will pledge with world leaders to deliver them from this
evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario,
individual rights will willingly be relinquished for the guarantee of their
well-being granted to them by their world government."
- Henry A. Kissinger,
Bilderberg Conference 1991 Evians France
"[The New World
Order] cannot happen without U.S. participation, as we are the most significant
single component. Yes, there will be a New World Order, and it will force the
United States to change it's perceptions."
- Henry A. Kissinger,
World Affairs Council Press Conference,
Regent Beverly
Wilshire Hotel , April 19th 1994

fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans" -
President Bill Clinton
"It is enough
that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes
decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." -
Joseph Stalin
"What is at stake
is more than one small country, it is a big idea, a New World Order. Out of
these troubled times our fifth objective a New World Order can emerge...Now we
can see a new world coming into view, a world in which there is a very real
prospect of a New World Order." - George Herbert Walker Bush, September
11th 1991
"The technocratic
era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a
society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values.
[...] The capacity to assert social and political control over the individual
will vastly increase. It will soon be possible to assert almost continuous
surveillance over every citizen and to maintain up-to-date, complete files,
containing even most personal information about the health or personal behavior
of the citizen in addition to more customary data. These files will be subject
to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities."
- Zbigniew Brzezinski
"The easiest way
to gain control of the population is to carry out acts of terror the public
will clamor for such laws if the personal security is threatened." -
Joseph Stalin
"Of course the
people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who
determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along
whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a
communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to
the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they
are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and
exposing the country to greater danger."
- Herman Goering
During The Nuremburg Trials
(One Of Adolph
Hitler's Top Men)
"Terrorism is the
best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden
death." - Adolph Hitler

tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel.
We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." -
Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon
"I don't care
what the American people think, I own the congress!"
- Israeli Prime
Minister, Ariel Sharon

treasonable to the American public." - Theodore Roosevelt
"I'm for the
little fellers, not the Rockefellers." - Senator Paul Wellston

insanity and national humiliation to have a law prohibiting the President from
ordering assassination."
- Henry A. Kissinger
Statement at a
National Security Council meeting in 1975.
I can think of no
faster way to unite the American people behind George W. Bush than a terrorist
attack on an American target overseas. And I believe George W. Bush will
quickly unite the American people through his foreign policy. - Henry A.
Kissinger
Depopulation should be
the highest priority of foreign policy towards the third world, because the US

control the nation's money and I care not who makes her laws" - Amschel

then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reaches us.
It must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our
lot, we must ourselves be it's author and it's finisher" - Abraham Lincoln
"There ought to
be limits to freedom" - President George Walker Bush
"When the
government fears the people, there is liberty. When people fear the government
there is tyranny."
- Thomas Jefferson
"In the size of
the lie there is always contained a certain factor of credibility, since the
great mass of people will more easily fall victims to a great lie than to a
small one." - Adolph Hitler
"One-fourth of
humanity must be eliminated from the social body. We are in charge of God's
selection process for planet earth. He selects, we destroy. We are the riders
of the pale horse, Death."
- Psychologist Barbara
