My aim

My aim in life is to serve and care for my deaf parents, and to support in making their last years in this world very pleasant without pushing my demands. On the other hand, they are still very active Ma sha ALLAH and my father still works a full-time job while my mother cooks and cleans in the house. But still they need someone to live with them who could understand them and who could act as a bridge with my other siblings who live out of city and country, apart from other daily chores to help them. I understand that I need a life-partner but it is not important compared to what I can do for my parents and due to their special needs, it would be difficult for me to marry and bring a woman in this house. But that's OK. I have left everything to ALLAH Almighty. I am not very young now and turned 45 this year. Women want a lot of financial security and right now I don't have that kind of position to marry. So let's not fight fate and succumb to God's plans. Let Him take us on the plan He has for us and He is the best Driver for the boat of our life. With this, now I am going to Model Town Park for a walk before Maghrib Salah. Remember me in your prayers and ALLAH bless all of you - Aameen.

Things do not always remain the same. Mother of Hadhrat Musa (pbuh) was asked to throw her son in the river. Hadhrat Yusuf (pbuh) was left in a well to die. Hadhrat Younas (pbuh) was swallowed by a whale. Hadhrat Ibrahim (pbuh) was thrown into fire. But then we know how things changed for them afterwards. ALLAH Almighty (swt) has always kept something good for us. In the beginning it might not be good or might not 'seem' good but the ending is always more than our expectations. If you are facing many difficulties today then just have firm belief and keep praying for a better tomorrow and be determined. Miracles happen only when you seek guidance from the Almighty. All power and all wisdom rest with God only!

1960s Hollywood and my father

1960s Hollywood and my father

Just finished an old Hollywood movie from the 1960s starring Rock Hudson with my father. My father was a Hollywood fan in his days and so I just tried to relax him today with memories from his days. It was a very rare occasion when we sat together in front of my laptop and had a treat together. Today movies have become so technical and hardcore, and simplicity is out. But of course good movies are still being made today. However, those old movies had a special "feel" about them and one goes down memory lane when such movies were telecast by our only local TV channel PTV in the 1970s and 1980s on Saturday and Thursday through "Saturday Night Special" and "Weekend Cinema". My father is going to Peshawar tomorrow morning on a special project for parachute gliding for his firm. Hope all goes well, in sha ALLAH.

VISITING DATA DARBAAR

It is wrong to go to a Mazaar and ask something from the saints who are resting there. That is 'Shirk'. But we can go there and read something like Surah Yasin as a gift to the soul of the saint and also all the Prophets (peace be upon them all). In the end we can offer supplication and ask directly from Almighty ALLAH about any of our noble wishes also. That is the correct way.

لوگ دنیا کے جو ستائے ہوں
وہ جو تنہائیوں کے مارے ہوں
ہاتھ یہ ان کا تھام لیتی ہیں

اور سب سے بڑا ہے وصف ان کا
یہ کبھی بے وفا نہیں ہوتیں

ہم ہی مردہ ضمیر لوگ ہیں بس
صرف الزام دیتے رہتے ہیں
بولتے ہیں برا اداسی کو

اس سے آنکھیں ملا کے دیکھو تو
کتنی معصوم ہے اداسی یہ

جاں سے پیارے جو لوگ ہوتے ہیں
جو کہ بچھڑے ہوئے ہوں مدت سے
بس انہی کے سبب اداسی یہ
ہم کو جتنا اداس رکھتی ہے
ان کو اتنا ہی پاس رکھتی ہے!

یار یہ جو اداسیاں ہیں ناں
ان کو محسوس کر کے دیکھو ناں
یہ کوئی بے سبب نہیں ہوتیں!

For Remaining Ramadan Nights

FOR REMAINING RAMADAN NIGHTS (NOT BEING FORCED HERE BUT ONLY IN THE SPIRIT OF MOTIVATION):

Assalamu Alaikum,

For remaining Ramadan nights, let's try to recite Darood Shareef more and more. If possible, 100 times in the night (or 33 times), especially on odd night (Taaq Raat) of Ramadan. Ask for forgiveness of all our sins by offering 2 Rikkat Salat-ul-Tauba at least also.

And 3rd kalma and recitation of Qur'an, as much as we can. Pray with sincere heart about removal of our problems. But if we have offended someone, then we have to seek forgiveness from them directly. We need to pray also for the salvation of the whole world and the Muslim world in particular for that is most oppressed.

If we do all this with pure heart, then we let’s leave the rest to ALLAH Almighty. Let’s don't lose focus on remaining Ramadan nights. May ALLAH bless all Muslims and good human beings (whether from any faith) in this world - Aameen.

“Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas samiul aleem” – Aameen.

Assalamu Alaikum,

Some Ramadan Reminders:

1-  LAYLA-TUL-QADR (THE NIGHT OF DECREE)

Last night was the 1st odd night of Ramadan, 21st Ramadan (Taaq Raat) - We have to search for Layla-tul-Qadr in these odd nights of this Holy Month - Layla-tul-Qadr, the night of decree can be any one of these odd nights in the last 10 days of Ramadan - The worship on just this ONE NIGHT is rewarded equal to worshipping for 1000 months by Almighty ALLAH - So let's not be lazy and make efforts in this regard - May ALLAH bless all of us - Aameen.

2-  MARTYRDOM OF HADHRAT ALI (RA) – 21^ST RAMADAN

Hadhrat Ali (ra) was the cousin of our dear Prophet (pbuh) and also the fourth Caliph of Islam. He was a mighty and courageous warrior as well apart from a highly learned man. He was martyred on the 21st of Ramadan.

3-  DEMISE OF HADHRAT AYESHA (RA) – 17^TH RAMADAN

 Hadhrat Ayesha (ra) was not only the wife of our dear Prophet (pbuh) but a scholar as well. Around 2000 Ahadith (sayings of Nabi SallAllahu Alaihi Wa-Alaihi Wassallam) have been sourced through her. She died on the 17th of Ramadan.
