A Main Lesson from the story of the Mi'raj

A Main Lesson from the story of the Mi'raj

One of the main lessons that we should take from the story of the Mi'raj.

The Prophet ﷺ had called people to Allah for over 10 years in Makkah. He was once the one that they called the truthful and the trustworthy, but suddenly all those who were once close to him turned their backs on him and betrayed him. He was stoned and pelted. He was called names and mocked. His family were starved. His companions were tortured and killed. All those who he once trusted now plotted against him and it was the hardest ten years of his blessed life. He saw hardship and he saw pain, but non of it compared to the pain he experienced just before this journey. He lost his uncle Abu Talib who looked after him as a child, the one who protected him when people attacked him. The one who took care of him when his father and grandfather passed away. His death caused the Prophet ﷺ indescribable pain. Then He lost his wife, Sayyidah Khadijah. She was the one he loved, she gave him ease, she honoured him and she remained with him when everyone left. When she passed away, it broke his blessed heart.

When all of these trials and tribulations came his way, he remained steadfast and content with the destiny of Allah. He never gave up and he never despaired. He carried on calling to Allah. It was in this time that Allah took him upon the night journey and He saw His Lord. In those moments, He gazed upon Allah. He was rewarded for His patience, and he was honoured with the ultimate prize. Dear Ummah, you may be going through turmoil, pain and real confusion, but Allah has promised us that ease shall come after hardship. An ease which shall make us forget all that which we faced. Remain patient and keep steadfast with prayer, supplication and gratitude. A day shall come when Allah will reward you beyond measure. He only tested you as a sign that He loves you.

The Door That Opened On Mi'raaj

THE DOOR THAT OPENED ON MI'RAAJ

In the night of Mi’raaj, when Sayyiduna Jibra`eel عليه السلام was present in the court of the Beloved Rasool صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم the Beloved Rasool صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم heard a voice from the sky, so he صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم raised his head towards the sky and said: This door of the sky is opened today and has never been opened before. Then an angel came down from the door, the Holy Nabi صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم said: This angel came down today and has never come down before. (Sahih Muslim, pp. 314, Hadith 806)

Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan رحمه الله has said: The sky has billions of doors through which different things come and go. One of the doors is that which was opened only in the night of Mi’raaj for the Beloved Rasool صلى الله تعالى عليه وآله وسلم (Mirat-ul-Manajih, vol. 8, pp.138)

Dear married couple

Dear married couple

Dear married couple, remember Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyidah Fatimah. What was the condition of their home? How did they live? They lived a life of utmost simplicity. They were the definitions of sacrifice. She is the queen of paradise and he is the Lion of Allah, yet their home contained very little food, very little provision. They had little wealth and did not possess much of the dunya. They spent days feeling hungry.

They spent days struggling. They spent days striving. There was no glamorous kitchen. There was no expensive sofas and costly furniture. There was only bowing, prostrating, supplications, tears and pure love.

Sayyiduna Ali worked tirelessly through-out the day to earn his own wealth. Sayyidah Fatimah would raise the children, she would grind grain and she'd bake bread. Things would get so difficult for them, yet their love only continued. They'd become extremely tired due to their struggles, yet they only increased in contentment. What is our condition? If our fridges are empty of juice, drink and food, we begin to fight. If our cupboards don't have enough biscuits and cereals, we get upset. If breakfast, lunch and dinner is not extraordinary, we bicker.

Our women all call themselves queen and want the world. Guess what? She IS the queen and she only wanted the akhirah. Our men think they are brave and deserve the best of lives. Guess what? He IS the Lion of Allah, yet he never once complained of the conditions. We have everything yet how happy are we? What is the state of our homes and how do we raise our children? They had very little of the world and they are the leaders of paradise. Look at how they were tested, yet they still raised the likes of Sayyiduna Hasan and Hussain. رضي الله عنهم

FOLLOWING ELDERS IN FAMILY BLINDLY

FOLLOWING ELDERS IN FAMILY BLINDLY AND IGNORING THE MESSAGE IN QUR'AN (NOT CONSULTING PROPER SCHOLARS OF ISLAM)

GREAT THOUGHT-PROVOKING QUR'ANIC VERSE - (POINTING AT WAYS, INCLINATIONS & LIFESTYLES):
Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 170: - When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah hath revealed" they say: "Nay! we shall follow the ways of our fathers." What! even though their fathers were void of wisdom and guidance?

In current times, an average person born in an educated household tends to follow the Westernized ways of his adults and shuns true Islam by saying "O Mullah, Maulvi is destroying Pakistan."

Preferring the life in hereafter over the life of this world

Preferring the life in hereafter over the life of this world

The Prophet (pbuh) and his household members (Ahl-e-Bait) were those who preferred the life in hereafter over the life of this world. (It means their lives were not spent around worldly passions and goals but everything they did was in submission to the commandments of Allah)

21st April - Remembering Iqbal (ra) - یادِ اِقبال

21st April - Remembering Iqbal (ra) -
(Death Anniversary)
یادِ اِقبال

سب سے پہلے پاکستان کے آج کل کے حالات کے حوالے سے اِقبال کا ایک شعر عرض ہے

Many Pakistanis don't know that Allama Iqbal (ra) was a very effective writer in English as well. An inspirational piece of his writing is given below:

IQBAL (ra) on love:

"Love is the flute of life from which melodies pour forth and enrapture the world. Light and heat, activity and movement, ardour and enthusiasm are all from it.

Love is the essence of life. It is deathless. The march of time is irresistible. It rolls on like a torrent, carrying violently away everything that impedes its onward movement. But love stands up to it; it stems all opposing waves for it, too, is not different from a flood tide, a deluge.

Love transcends time and space and its wondrous possibilities are beyond human comprehension. There are states and stages of love that are not known to anyone. The effulgence of love is common to all Divine Apostleships and sacred teachings.

Colour and radiance, joy and fragrance of all the universe is from love. It is the purifying draught (from the Fountain of Paradise) that sends saints and poets into ecstasy. It reveals itself sometimes, in the form of a preacher from the pulpit, and, sometimes, as a philosopher and conqueror. Love has a thousand facets. It is a many-splendoured thing. It is an eternal wayfarer, a perpetual traveller. It is always on the move, restless, mercurial."

Wait, don't lose hearts...

Wait, don't lose hearts...

Wait, don't lose hearts. Imran Khan did put up a good fight even if some of us don't support either NS or IK or any other political leader. Nawaz Sharif and co. should be highly ashamed of their poor administration in the country especially the scale of loadshedding we are seeing in Pakistan in the month of April and of course many other affairs. Let's pray 2 Nafil Haajat tonight in front of Allah for our country's overall betterment and prosperity.

When to fight and when not to

When to fight and when not to

He is victorious who knows when and when not to fight. Sun Tzu

In Sun Tzu’s famous book, The Art of War, he makes it clear that it is not always time to fight. You must pick your battles with special care. Granted, sometimes you are faced with a situation that leaves you no other options except for defending yourself on the spot, but these circumstances are few and far between.

You have to listen to your spirit and allow your inner voice to guide you. There are no hard and fast rules about when to fight and when not to fight, but it is always wise to only resort to physical action when all other honorable options have been exhausted.

When all other options have been tried and have failed, you still have to know when and when not to strike. Timing can be the difference in victory and defeat. Again, you have to listen to your spirit in order to know when to strike. Opportunities are rare and you must take advantage of them quickly when they arise. When you know in your spirit that it is time to act, don’t delay.

If it doesn’t feel right inside, it is not right. Remember, sometimes it is necessary to retreat and regroup before you engage. Use common sense in every situation.

Don’t allow your emotions to dictate your actions. Let your spirit and your intellect show you when and when not to fight. Your spirit will not steer you wrong if you learn to listen to it closely. Start thinking rationally, not emotionally. Bohdi Sanders ~ excerpt from the book, The Warrior Ethos

In the darkest hours

In the darkest hours

In the darkest hours we must believe in ourselves. Terry Goodkind

There will always be those who come against you when you take a stand for what is right. People have different ideas about right and wrong. Some will have a completely different opinion about what is right than you do, and others simply couldn’t care less about whether their actions are right or not. Either way, don’t allow their actions or opinions affect you.

The superior man knows what is right, at least in most situations. He spends time studying the difference between right and wrong, studying the wisdom of the sages, and has used what he has learned to develop his code. His code guides him in all of his actions, and thus the arguments of those who oppose him fall on deaf ears. He cannot be moved from what he knows to be right. He is completely dedicated to what is right. Bohdi Sanders ~ excerpt from the #1 Bestseller, MEN of the CODE, available from Amazon at:

Do you have problems?

Do you have problems?

Do you have problems? Obstacles? Pain? Illness? lack of rizq? Life is dark? You feel constricted? Your hurt? You feel confused and lost? You feel distant? We need to become people of salawat. We need to be people who praise the Messenger of Allah ﷺ day and night. Wallahi, in Shaam I saw miracles which tongues can't express.

I saw people who were born paralysed cured. We saw people with cancer given remedy. We saw sinners turn to saints. We saw the homeless get home within a night. We saw people find marriage when it seemed impossible. We saw people without food in their homes miracously have meat in their fridges. People got shot and didn't get hurt. I think we saw and heard it all. How did this happen? They were addicted to salawat. He is light. He is cure. He is remedy and he is mercy. Never give up on salawat. If it happened for them then it can happen for you. You'll see miracles before your eyes. Even now, I know of people in Shaam who live in the worse conditions who see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ almost daily and he consoles them. Nothing is impossible.

Love - A Beautiful Value

LOVE - A BEAUTIFUL VALUE

Love is a beautiful value because everyone likes to be loved; rarely could you find a man who would like to find that others hate him. It is ironic that some fight others on the grounds that they do not like them, thereby missing the point. If love is realised from both sides aggression is excluded. Love is an emotion and a behaviour, it is also an announcement and declaration; as is related in the ḥadīth: ‘If one of you loves his brother, tell him so.’

Students of knowledge - Show weakness to Allah only

Students of knowledge - Show weakness to Allah only

Our teachers gave us a rule in Syria. Students of knowledge do not let their emotions out to the world. If you are upset, you cry to your Lord. If you are upset, you speak to your teacher. If you are down, you fall into prostration. If you are broken, you recite salawat upon the fixer of hearts. If you are sick of life, you send salutations upon the doctor of the hearts. If people mock you, you make du'a for them. If people hate you then you simply ignore them. If you feel low then you pray to the Most High. If the world turns against you then you turn towards the Creator of the worlds. If you are angry then you beg for Allah's forgiveness. If you feel hatred overtaking your heart, you fall on your knees and pray for your enemies.

Dear student, if you do not heed this warning then you will drown in the world when hardship comes and you will be lowered in the sight of man. This dunya is a test. You have to keep moving. Don't get caught up in the meaningless words of people. Stick to the truth. Stick to the Sunnah. You are imitating that Prophet ﷺ who was stoned in Ta'if and still lifted up his hands and called out for their forgiveness. Lovers don't complain; they take the pain. One day you shall carry the weight of this Ummah on your back. Stay strong. We only show weakness to Allah.

13th Rajab - Hadhrat Ali (ra)'s date of birth

Hadhrat Ali (ra)'s date of birth - 13th Rajab

13th Rajab marks the birth of The Lion of Allah ﷻ namely, Hadhrat Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام

Named Haydar (Lion) by their mother, the victor of battles and wars, the Mawla (master) for every Muslim, the distributor of Wilayah (sainthood) to the nations and the direct spiritual vicegerent of the blessed Prophet ﷺ

A great warrior of Islam hence the title 'Lion of Allah' and certainly a great Caliph. The father of the Princes of Heaven, husband to the Queen of Paradise, son in-law to the beloved of Allah and mercy to all mankind ﷺ

Let us remember the man who stood by the blessed Prophet ﷺ all their life, who was brave and loyal. It was them for whom the Prophet ﷺ said, "I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate."

May Allah ﷻ give us all the patience and fortitude of the great Imam and may we show resilience and bravery when faced with mutiny and desertion. Humility and wisdom. May we remember Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام and learn from the great examples they left behind.

Aameen.

Meaning of True Love

MEANING OF TRUE LOVE

You want to know about love? When Sayyidah Maymunah was about to leave this world, she instructed that she be buried in the place that she spent her first night of marriage with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Even in her final moments, all she could think about was those first moments when she gazed upon the most beautiful of mankind. He was more precious to her than the air that she breathed and the life that she lived.

This ummah has lost the meaning of romance. It has lost the meaning of sacrifice. It has lost the meaning of loyalty. It has loss the meaning of true marriage. We don't know how to treat our spouses with affection anymore. We don't know how to show them how much they mean anymore. We don't know how to look at them in the eyes and tell them how much we care anymore. If we want successful marriages and lives, we must return to the way of the beautiful one ﷺ. The people of the dunya gaze at TV screens and wish their marriages were like that. We gaze at Rasul'Allah ﷺ and only wish our marriages can be like his.
