VIDEO - 2019 - Year of Final Countdown - Orya Maqbool

VIDEO - 2019: Year of Final Count Down | Lecture by Orya Maqbool Jan

DURATION: 15 Minutes

SOME POINTS FROM ORYA MAQBOOL'S LECTURE "2019 - FINAL COUNTDOWN"

[MANY SCHOLARS HAVE SPOKEN ON THE TOPIC BUT THIS LECTURE IS BEING SHARED BECAUSE IT IS A LATEST ONE AND CONTAINS THE SUMMARY]

- First of all, many analysts and scholars have been saying repeatedly since the past 10 years or so (maybe before also) that the major signs of End times are about to unfold.

- We cannot pinpoint about the exact time of these events but on the other hand we never know if they are really very close.

- Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel now, has been quite an open sign that things are moving fast now. According to hadith, the flourishing city of Jerusalem will be when Madinah will be in ruins. Sheikh Imran Hosein has said that Madinah in ruins means not taking leading part in the affairs of Ummah while Jerusalem is now going to have all embassies moved there as the Capital of Israel and hence will flourish worldly-wise. Jerusalem holds great significance for Muslim world due to presence of Masjid-al-Aqsa which the Zionist Jews plan to demolish and rebuild their Third temple (Temple of Solomon).

- Dajjal (Anti-Christ) will be the false Messiah preceding the coming of actual Messiah (Prophet Isa / Jesus pbuh). Read this article also by me "THE DAYS AHEAD" on the topic of Dajjal and end times (apart from precautions we need to take to safeguard our faith as Muslims). - https://together-we-rise.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-days-ahead-by-roman-ahsan.html

- Dajjal will not be able to enter Makkah and Madinah since the borders of two Holy cities will be guarded by angels.

- First there is going to be a big war which is called "Al-Malhama-tul-Kubra" in hadith. It will be unleashed on the Arab world and Arabs will suffer huge losses in the world. Side by side, Ghazwa-e-Hind (in modern context, it is final war between Pakistan and India) will also take place. Whole region of Indo-Pak will become a Muslim country after the Ghazwa and Muslims from Afghanistan will also play a direct role in this Ghazwa. In short, Islam will be the reigning religion in Indo-Pak and in its pure form (not what we have now). It is called Ghazwa because it will have spiritual participation by our Prophet (pbuh) .

- Imam Al-Mahdi is to arise from Muslim world and take the lead of Ummah after Al-Malhama. Then Dajjal will also come out from his hidden dimension and break loose. According to hadith, the Imam will be the Khalifa of Muslim world for 7-9 years and Dajjal will appear towards the last phase of his reign. Imam Mahdi is the first of the final saviours of Muslim Ummah and then Prophet Isa / Jesus (pbuh) will also descend to kill Dajjal.

- Dajjal will physically appear on Earth for 40 days. First day of Dajjal will be like our one year in length, his second day will be like a month, third day will be like a week and the rest 37 days of his existence will be like our normal days. He will put the Muslims to worst kind of trials and many will lose faith due to his awesome magic and tricks as he will claim to be (false) god.

- Orya Sahib has said in the lecture basically that Al-Malhama (the big war against the Arab world) and Ghazwa-e-Hind could start in 2019. This could be speculation (but not 'mere' speculation) as there have been constant hints of start of such wars earlier also by scholars at some particular time. Still, we as Muslims have to be prepared in any case (spiritually, morally and physically).

- To protect ourselves from the perils of Dajjal, first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahf (No. 18) should be memorized and the entire Surah should be recited on every Jummah (after Maghrib Thursday and before Maghrib Friday). Apart from these, we have to strive in the way of Allah as a whole according to golden tenets of Islam.

- In rest of his lecture, he has discussed briefly some signs of end times in relation to Ahadith.

VIDEO - Thoughts on tribute to Chuck Feeney

THOUGHTS ON VIDEO WITH TRIBUTE TO CHUCK FEENEY

A video is being shared where a tribute is given to Mr. Chuck Feeney with emphasis on his simple living and philanthropy measures. Please first see the video before checking the rest of the comments below:

Sometimes we are just sharing such videos but do not try to understand what we actually need to learn and what we don’t need to copy. Some views are being given below in this context.

In our beautiful religion Islam, a balanced path is desired for a Muslim. If one has means and resources acquired through permissible sources of earning (as in Islam), then an individual is not forbidden to spend money on himself/herself within decent limits. For example, one can keep a car for personal use, own a reasonably priced branded watch (though still not being crazy about premium brands) and go to office with a proper brief-case (though it depends on personal requirements and nature of job) instead of carrying a plastic bag.

Secondly, it is still awesome to see a very rich man adopt a simple lifestyle when wealth can corrupt most people in the world. This spirit demands great sacrifice and selflessness where many Muslims fail. Being a Muslim does not make us a better human automatically. However, we have to be wary about the ways of Non-Muslims.

1-      They do not believe in Allah and His final Prophet (pbuh)

2-      They deal heavily in Riba (interest or usury)

3-      Most of them consume alcohol or liquor

4-      Most of them do not consider Zina (illicit sexual relationships) as immoral act

5-      Since they do not believe in Islam, they do not observe the obligatory worship acts as in Islam

6-      In USA alone, there is high trend of leaving old parents in ‘Old Homes’. An American lady confessed this in a discussion on Facebook. Compared to that, the family structure is very strong in Pakistan and we care for old parents.

Hence, in short, we should not be over-impressed by the Westerners and their deeds, though there is no harm in learning from them and adopting positive traits. Secondly, of course, we certainly should not consider any Non-Muslim inferior to us just because of faith. We have to relate to them on human level and can form business relationships with them also (though everything within the prescribed framework of Islam).

In Surah Al-Kahf (No. 18), verse No. 7, Almighty Allah says: “Verily, We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds.” ( i.e. those who do good deeds in the most perfect manner, that means to do them (deeds) totally for Allah's sake and in accordance to the legal ways of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم )

May ALLAH guide us and protect us – Aameen.

It's how you use certain platforms that counts. And then many professionals are also gaining expertise from Facebook groups etc. However, most of the youngsters do waste their time on FB which is a matter of concern.

Let's start a spiritual journey below . . .

Physical exercise is never easy

PHYSICAL EXERCISE IS NEVER EASY

Any kind of exercise is not easy. It requires a certain temperament. If we leave exercise then it is difficult to take it up again unless we force ourselves. However many people find it relatively easy to return to a healthy work-out schedule if they have been doing it for years before. Brisk-walking or jogging are the most common form of exercise which every individual (male or female) can do. Mind you, one has to still push oneself for that and to stick to it on regular basis one should be sincere to oneself. Yes, to take up regular exercise means one is sincere towards oneself for in the long run you are going to benefit from it.

We don't feel pleasant while we are brisk-walking or jogging, but it definitely affects our mood positively afterwards. But make sure whatever exercise you take up, it should make your heart beat faster. And in summers you should perspire!

How To Act On Somebody's Death

HOW TO ACT ON SOMEBODY'S DEATH

Death is just the passing of soul from one medium of life to another but it is nevertheless a very sober occasion. We need to be sensitive about the death of someone in the family but it is appalling how some of us fail to act proper on such occasions.

One of my real aunts passed away very recently due to pneumonia in Karachi. She was above 70. We got the news of her death about one hour later. Next day was my niece’s birthday who along with her other siblings was staying at our place but it was understood that we were not going to celebrate it. However, just before midnight my nephew brought and placed a small cake with a knife on the table in front of us. I told him gently that it was not right to celebrate the birthday just one night later the death of a family member. He said they were just trying to console my niece who was close with the departed.

It was a very small celebration but I felt bad and didn’t forbid them harshly because that does not work out well in such situations, rather it can lead to revolt among youngsters. It’s almost like taking away a kid’s ice-cream when he is about to eat it.

When they left our home three days later I just sent them a text that we don’t even need to be Muslims to not celebrate anything at such times, we just need to be human enough. The good thing is they finally realized this as it showed on their faces when they came again later to meet us!

What do you think about it? I think we need to give moral guidance to youth also from time to time instead of lectures on worldly success on constant basis. Going after worldly success is ingrained in the minds of youngsters from the start but most of them do not care about morality. It is our responsibility to guide them about the difference between right and wrong on different issues of life.

Like for example, even celebrating a birthday at 12 midnight is such an improper custom we have started. Traditionally, midnight has always been associated with horror stories, evil forces etc and is certainly not the time to celebrate anything!
