EXPLORING - THE ARK OF THE
COVENANT
One of the apparatus or artifacts
which holds significance in all three Abrahamic religions is ‘the ark of the
covenant’. It came to my mind again when I came across a Youtube video in which
someone in Pakistan was describing it and the thumbnail also had its Qur’anic
name ‘Taboot-e-Sakina’.
Over the years, I have
learned to always project and promote the works of senior Islamic Scholars of
Islam through their writings or video lectures (though we have to follow media
experts also to keep abreast of current affairs). I am myself not an Islamic
Scholar and I am liable to make mistake also. Hence, it is important to say
that just like Shepherds tend and rear sheep, senior Islamic Scholars guide the
Muslims properly with their overall extensive knowledge of Islam instead of
trying to win followers by creating new theories.
The main objective of this
post is the following video on ‘The Ark of the Covenant’ in which a local
Pakistani speaker is misguiding the youngsters. Normally, I don’t write against
such speakers but this man has gone too far.
The name of this speaker is
Sahil Adeem. He is followed by thousands of youngsters in Pakistan which is
alarming. If it were a single mistake then we should not take up this issue.
But he presents himself as an expert on End time theories in Islam with debates
on HIS MULTIPLE YOUTUBE CHANNELS on many unnecessary topics. Sometimes he talks
about portals, other times he narrates about time travelling etc just to fool
his young audience who think he is offering a unique kind of knowledge. In
fact, much of his talk is baseless.
This is the link of his
video which I aim to address in this post - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GG8kOERsekI
If one starts listening to
this video and reaches at 1:00 Minute, he is wrongly mentioning it as ARC
(curve) whereas it is THE ARK OF THE COVENANT. He says an ‘arc’ of light used
to emit from the Covenant. The real word is ARK which means a ‘CHEST’ and one
who describes it as ‘ARC’ proves that he has not done any research or lacks
true knowledge on the subject.
I don’t wish to discredit
anyone. But after seeing some of his video talks in the last two years or so, it
becomes clear that he is a fake person and the youth of Pakistan need to beware
of him. He talks in an over-confident manner as if he has all the answers and his
credibility is questionable.
If someone is trying to
trick people by playing with Islamic knowledge, then only Allah knows what his
fate will be in the afterlife. On our part, we should only be careful and try to
follow proper senior Islamic Scholars like the late Dr. Israr, Sheikh Imran Hosein,
Professor Ahmad Rafique Akhtar, Mufti Menk etc.
May Almighty Allah guide us
and bless us – Aameen!
