The Pharaoh subjected the children of Israel to oppression
for centuries in Egypt. Treated like slaves, the exploited people found no
respite. Much time had lapsed since Prophet Joseph or Yusuf (pbuh) ruled the
country after his family migrated to Egypt from Syria. A nation always faces
downfall due to its own ill-doings and this is what happened to their successors
also who lost their path. When the tyranny of Pharaoh and his accomplices
increased beyond measure, God’s help was forthcoming and He raised a savior (Moses
pbuh) from the weak nation to brace the mighty king. It is said Pharaoh lived a
long life without even having a minor complaint like headache (this and his
awesome might actually made him claim godhead) but he eventually had to meet
his downfall. ALLAH mentions about this whole affair in Qur’an:“And We desired
to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and to make them
the Leaders and to make them the heirs.” – (28:5). Similarly, a savior is to rise again soon in this world to rescue the oppressed. We have to pave way for
him by our deeds, for every good action will make us include in the group that is
pleasing to God.

given at the last). The affair of Imam Mahdi and Anti-Christ (Dajjal) is going
to be the greatest showdown between good and evil from the time of Prophet Adam
(pbuh) till judgment day according to valid sayings of the Prophet (pbuh). All
the Prophets (pbu them all) have warned their nations about the time of Dajjal (Anti-Christ)
for he and his accomplices will bring the worst trials upon mankind. Their aim will
be to remove the spirit of religiosity from our hearts so that they can be
subdued easily with their evil influences. Many Muslims will lose their faith
in that time due to the magic, influence and power of the Anti-Christ thus
doomed to the everlasting fire of hell. Only Muslims with strong faith will be
able to protect their faith.
Are we preparing for that time for we never know if that
time is close? It should be of prime concern for us that the media powers in
these times are also serving as the tools of evil forces and leading us away
from our faith (emaan). They are like tranquilizers who are putting our minds
to sleep with their awesome attractive offerings. A woman was never before more
presented as a sex object as in these times when in fact her stature has a noble
significance in the roles of a homemaker, a sister, a mother and a life-partner.
She is required to clad herself in hides to impart more respect to her being
than her figure to be ‘exposed’ so that men could gratify their lust. Men have
to pursue lawful & rightful means for that. They have to seek pleasure from
the fair sex confined to the institution of marriage only. Even in situations
when they are overcome with extreme emotional longings, men have to fear the
punishments of the Almighty and not stray away from the right path. Men of
faith respect a woman for their inclination towards purity and not for exhibiting
their bodies as if there is no tomorrow!
The entertainment industry has basically always been in the
boredom-killing business but in current times it has become devoid of any moral
substance (or there is very little of that). The villains and vamps of
yesterday are characterized as heroes and heroines today. Most of the elders in
our society are unable to resist this slow poisoning and to apply any ‘check’ in
their houses since their minds are not receptive to the message of ALLAH and
where to apply it. It is a sort of invasion in our very own houses which is
uprooting any ethical sense from our shallow existence. People are busy in making
ends today and that too in the domain of high-end life-styles. They are not
contended with simple living standards which form the core of Islam since they
fear falling out of the ‘crowd’. Give a teenager a laptop with high speed
internet connection and you make the biggest mistake. Tender minds infused
with little prior moral upbringing are liable to cram themselves with alien
philosophies with their ‘self-learning’ tactics. They will not pay heed to what
their elders say and you lose another being to the Dajjal system!
The time of emergence of Imam Mahdi is known to ALLAH only
(we cannot say for sure that he is going to appear in 2012) but the signs
leading to his appearance have almost come into sight. Turn up the speakers and
enjoy listening to the awesome ‘nasheed’ playing while reading the slides.
