Iran and Syria - What is common?
I am a Sunni Muslim but I want to ask you what is common between Iran and Syria apart from both countries being led by Shia rulers? We understand that many Muslim think-tanks label Bashar Al-Assad's regime as very brutal to the citizens of Syria. Assad is a liberal person and on the other hand well-liked by many Syrians who are also on the side of Syrian Army. They say Syrian army comprises of same men who come from the families of Syrian Citizens.
The rebel forces in Syria are multi-ethnic and ISIS is not the only one group fighting to overthrow Assad's regime. It is presumed (to be on the safe side) that some true Islamic groups have also been rebelling against the Syrian government from the start without harming innocent civilians. Hence, the insurgents in Syria are divided and carry different missions. ISIS has been funded by the US and Israel to create anarchy and chaos in Syria so that the blame falls on the Islamic freedom fighters. And the ultimate goal is to install a puppet-government that would beckon to the call of imperial powers. This is what comes out after analyzing the trends of different media news.
However, the situation in Syria is multi-dimensional. We need to be careful at every step before passing strong judgments. It cannot be ignored that Iraq's Saddam Hussein and Libya's Qaddafi both refused to sell their oil for only American Dollars and neither had a Rothschild owned Central Bank. And guess what Iran and Syria have in common? Yes, exactly the same like Iraq and Libya !!
Still, our quest for truth should continue without any personal bias. Being Muslims, our utmost priority should be to live and fight for the cause of Islam, and all other factors including national interests are secondary.
