Losses and how to cope

LOSSES AND HOW TO COPE

If God (ALLAH) has bestowed upon you many blessings from His infinite treasures and still you talk in public about your little pain or sorrow, then you are being very ungrateful. Learn to value your blessings and to count them. There might be lot of people around you who are suffering beyond imagination. However, if something still hurts you or causes you grief, then recite "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" ("Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return"). This is not to be recited only over the demise of someone but can also be recited whenever we feel sorrowful, in pain or any adversity. By reciting this verse in pain or sorrow, you earn good deeds and Allah also grants you patience or 'sabar'.

Word of caution on Facebook pages

WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT SUPPORTING SOME FACEBOOK PAGES:

There are many people who are making pages on Facebook.  Unless we know a person or have met him/her in real life, there is no authenticity or surety of how good or bad he/she really is. Anyone can make a page on Facebook and start his/her campaign for a good cause or against anyone. If it's a general cause, then we can somewhat assess about the intentions of the admin (but no guarantee even then). And if the page is targetting someone, then we should first investigate about the Admin and his/her case in real life before believing his/her stories. It is advised in Islam to verify facts before you blindly support anyone. Otherwise you become guilty also of supporting a campaign against an innocent person.

Authenticity - Darood Sharif on Jumm'ah & Forgiveness of sins

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

AUTHENTICITY – DAROOD SHARIF ON JUMM’AH & FORGIVENESS OF SINS

DISCLAIMER: By sharing this information, the sender does not claim to be a better Muslim/better human being than anyone. The only objective is learning and re-learning.

Assalam-o-Alaikum,

It was shared last week that reciting a particular Darood Shareef 80 times after Asar prayer on Jumm’ah can wipe off the sins of 80 years (plus the reward of 80 years of worship). Someone objected to it, hence some points given below in this regard after these Urdu images:

· This is not fabricated but based on hadith, which is pasted in many mosques in Pakistan. Booklets with collections of different Darood Shareef are also available in the market along with this particular information.

· There is no scarcity of treasures of mercy and forgiveness by Almighty ALLAH. Only we humans are ungrateful and careless.

· Recitation of 80 times of this Darood Shareef is for forgiveness of Minor sins (Sagheera Gunah) and not Major sins (Kabeera Gunah). However, Major sins are also forgiven by our Creator upon sincere repentance and resolve but that must involve a separate act of “Salaat al-tawbah” (the prayer of repentance). A relevant link here: https://islamqa.info/en/98030 (guidance can also be sought from sources and institutions in real life)

· Primary obligations or obligatory worship acts should not be neglected (like Salah 5 times a day etc. and Haqooq ul Abaad).
· Lastly, if some people still don’t believe in this then it is their own choice as we should try to verify any Islamic information from different sources or guides in real life. Then we should adopt what appeals to us after sincere attempts of seeking guidance. Foremost thing is with how much purity of heart we pray to ALLAH and recite Darood Shareef because forgiveness of sins lies entirely with ALLAH, and He is indeed Gracious and Merciful.

May Almighty ALLAH guide us to the right path. Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas samiul aleem – Aameen.

Mental illness - Not mentally deficient

Mental illness - Not mentally deficient

Stephen Fry, the British actor has been suffering from a psychological illness called "Bipolar Disorder". Do remember that mental or psychological illness does not mean that the person is "mentally deficient". It only means that the patient suffers from phases of acute depression or mania at some stages of his/her life. Such people have to fight this disease all their lives and at the same time they have to cope with life's challenges like completing their education, career, marriage etc. Hence it is not an easy life for them. We should all try to understand such individuals. You should watch the Oscar award winning movie "A beautiful mind" also which stars Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly.

Facebook and Youngsters

Facebook and Youngsters

Facebook can be a waste of time for youngsters who still have to learn a lot in life and to achieve something. Instead of using Facebook all the time, they should read good books, watch good movies, learn from their elders, go out and exercise, take a walk in park, care for people around them and lastly fall in love with REAL PEOPLE (just to say otherwise there are always better things in life than falling in love).

Sparks of energy and motivation

Sparks of energy and motivation

Roger Moore was 45 when he first starred in the role of James Bond for the movie "Live and Let die". It is only the sparks of energy and motivation which get us going. Otherwise, we can lose the game much earlier or still be a hero even at a later age. Professional world has tough demands. Only those will survive who do not lose heart and are willing to make progress against all odds.

NOTE: The objective of this post is not to promote any industry but the aspect of endurance and strong will.
