My aim

My aim in life is to serve and care for my deaf parents, and to support in making their last years in this world very pleasant without pushing my demands. On the other hand, they are still very active Ma sha ALLAH and my father still works a full-time job while my mother cooks and cleans in the house. But still they need someone to live with them who could understand them and who could act as a bridge with my other siblings who live out of city and country, apart from other daily chores to help them. I understand that I need a life-partner but it is not important compared to what I can do for my parents and due to their special needs, it would be difficult for me to marry and bring a woman in this house. But that's OK. I have left everything to ALLAH Almighty. I am not very young now and turned 45 this year. Women want a lot of financial security and right now I don't have that kind of position to marry. So let's not fight fate and succumb to God's plans. Let Him take us on the plan He has for us and He is the best Driver for the boat of our life. With this, now I am going to Model Town Park for a walk before Maghrib Salah. Remember me in your prayers and ALLAH bless all of you - Aameen.

Things do not always remain the same. Mother of Hadhrat Musa (pbuh) was asked to throw her son in the river. Hadhrat Yusuf (pbuh) was left in a well to die. Hadhrat Younas (pbuh) was swallowed by a whale. Hadhrat Ibrahim (pbuh) was thrown into fire. But then we know how things changed for them afterwards. ALLAH Almighty (swt) has always kept something good for us. In the beginning it might not be good or might not 'seem' good but the ending is always more than our expectations. If you are facing many difficulties today then just have firm belief and keep praying for a better tomorrow and be determined. Miracles happen only when you seek guidance from the Almighty. All power and all wisdom rest with God only!

1960s Hollywood and my father

1960s Hollywood and my father

Just finished an old Hollywood movie from the 1960s starring Rock Hudson with my father. My father was a Hollywood fan in his days and so I just tried to relax him today with memories from his days. It was a very rare occasion when we sat together in front of my laptop and had a treat together. Today movies have become so technical and hardcore, and simplicity is out. But of course good movies are still being made today. However, those old movies had a special "feel" about them and one goes down memory lane when such movies were telecast by our only local TV channel PTV in the 1970s and 1980s on Saturday and Thursday through "Saturday Night Special" and "Weekend Cinema". My father is going to Peshawar tomorrow morning on a special project for parachute gliding for his firm. Hope all goes well, in sha ALLAH.
