FOR US IS THE HEREAFTER

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه‎‎, one day went to visit RasöölAllah ﷺ. He ﷺ was resting on a sackcloth, which made impressions on his blessed body. Seeing this Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه‎‎ began to weep.

RasööAllah ﷺ asked, "Why do you weep?"

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه‎‎ replied, "These Caesars and Chosroes, the Kings of Byzantium and Iran, sleep on carpets of silk and velvet and you have to take rest on sackcloth! I weep because of this."

RasöölAllah ﷺ said, "There is no need to weep, for this world, is for them and for us is the hereafter."
