A True Hero

A TRUE HERO 

The date was August 8, 1982. The Red Sox were playing an afternoon game at Boston's Fenway Park. Suddenly a screaming foul ball whizzed past the first base dugout and Red Sox left fielder Jim Rice heard the unmistakable sound of ball striking flesh. Looking around the corner of the dugout into the stands Rice saw 4 year old Jonathan Keane bleeding profusely from his head. Realizing in a split second that it would take several minutes for park EMT's to get to the scene, the future Hall of Famer sprang into action. Rice leaped over the railing into the stands, cradled the young fan into his arms and carried the boy into the dugout where he received immediate attention from the team's medical staff. Within just a few minutes Jonathan was rushed to the hospital where doctors credited Rice with saving the boys life. Jim Rice played the rest of the game in a blood stained uniform, a true badge of courage.

اپنے آپ کو دھوکے میں نہیں رکھنا چاہیئے - ہر بندے کو مرنے کے بعد اپنا حساب دینا ہے - اسلام سے دوری بہت بڑھی ہوئی ہے اور اللہ کا وعدہ اپنے نیک بندوں کے ساتھ ہے - وہ اس بات پر بھی قادر ہے کہ خدانخواستہ اس قوم کو مٹا کر کوئی اور قوم اس پاک سر زمین پر لے آئے جو حقیقی معنوں میں اسلام کی سربلندی کیلئے کام کرے- اللہ ہم سب کو ہدایت دے - آمین

یہ درست ہے کہ بھارت، امریکہ اور اسرائیل نے ٹی ٹی پی کے زریعے جو پاکستان کے خلاف دہشت گردی کی اس کو ختم کرنے میں اللہ کی مدد کے ساتھ ساتھ پاک فوج کا ایک بڑا کردار ہے - اسلئے ہمیں پاک فوج کے خلاف نہیں بولنا چاہیئے لیکن ساتھ ہی یہ جاننا بھی ضروری ہے کہ پاک فوج کے کچھ جنرل حضرات کے خلاف بولنے کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ خدانخواستہ ہم پاک فوج کے خلاف ہیں

حالیہ تناظر میں یہ دیکھیں کہ ریٹائرڈ جنرل پرویز مشرف کی اسلام دشمنی ابھی بھی ختم نہیں ہوئی اور اس نے یہ بیان دیا ہے کہ پاکستان کو اسرائیل کے ساتھ تعلقات قائم کرنے چاہیئں - جب یہ صاحب برسرِاقتدار تھے تو تب بھی ان کی پالیسیاں اسلام کے خلاف تھیں لیکن بہت سے پاکستانی (جن میں عوام کے ساتھ ساتھ لبرل صحافی بھی شامل ہیں) بے وقوف بنے رہے اور مشرف کی تعریف کرتے رہے  

لال مسجد میں جو کچھ ہوا دراصل وہ مشرف کی پالیسیوں کے خلاف ردعمل تھا - یہ لبرل انتہاپسندی ہی ہے جو مذہبی انتہاپسندی کو جنم دیتی ہے
