Aafia's Predicament

AAFIA'S PREDICAMENT

As I was scrolling down on my newsfeed, I came across this headline, I had a huge lump in my throat and my eyes were filling up with tears:

Aafia Siddiqui's lawyer demands proof she’s alive in Texas prison

Dr Aafia Siddiqui is our Muslim sister. Dr Aafia Siddiqui is equal to every one of our mothers, sisters and daughters. She is our responsibility and the public face of all our Muslim sisters across the world, whose blood, honour and children, have suffered at the hands of the dhalim rulers, and ignored by the hypocrites, who call themselves Muslims, ruling lands, imprisoning our brothers and sisters when they speak the haqq but bow down to their Masters, the Western nations for their own financial interest!

Since the beginning of the invasion of Islamic lands in the 19th century, and the destruction of the Khilafah on 3rd March 1924, our sisters have suffered and continue to suffer. The western nations claim to be champions of woman’s rights; they imported the woman’s movement into our lands. They claimed Islam oppressed us while capitalism would liberate us. They used catch phrases of democracy, justice, human rights and liberation to deceive us. However women under the Islamic State lived in a state of peace and justice that has never been seen under any man made system. Indeed the reality of our lives without an Islamic State is one of being at the mercy of those who act like the lowest most depraved animals.

The case of our sister Dr Aafia is clearly their attempt to scare us from our deen, but we won't and shouldn't be scared of them, we should be scared of our accountability towards our sister! Towards our sisters who are facing, and have faced similar situations... We must stay united and stand with our sisters and against the corruption of these Rulers and the current system that has led to the oppression of women all over the globe, sister Afia is an example of this!
In a Hadith narrated by Abu Talha Al-Ansari and Jabir Bin Abdullah, the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “No man forsakes a Muslim when his rights are being violated or his honor is being belittled except that Allah will forsake him at a place in which he would love to have His help. And no man helps a Muslim at a time when his honor is being belittled or his rights violated except that Allah will help him at a place in which he loves to have His help”.

When the victory of Allah سبحانه وتعالى arrives and the Muslim lands unite under one Khaleefah, be under no illusion that the Khilafah will utilise all its political, economic and military might to free the Muslim prisoners and protect the honour of our women.

We pray to Allah سبحانه وتعالى that he revives this noble Ummah once again and brings forth a man from amongst us who will carry the shield of Khilafah and protect the vulnerable and the oppressed amongst us. Ameen.

“The Imam is like a shelter for whose safety the Muslims should fight and where they should seek protection.” [Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 204]
