Green masthead! Why? What has happened?
ReplyDeleteThe News’s green masthead on Pakistan Resolution Day must have surprised many readers like me, but it was a pleasant surprise. It was quite nostalgic because as an adult I have forgotten all about how we used to celebrate these national days when we were kids.
In a life that is fast-paced, many of us might need to reinforce the passion and enthusiasm with the same zeal and commitment that our elders felt.
The new generation is ignorant of our history and the sacrifices made during the movement by the Muslims to get their own homeland.
Such steps like changing the colour of the masthead is a little step to remind children to learn to love their country. I urge the rest of the media to follow these small steps by The News and Jang to help them revisit the past.
