Quotes by Jinnah - 25th December

MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH - SOME QUOTATIONS

[Being shared on Quaid's birth anniversary - 25th December]

  • Come forward as servants of Islam, organise the people economically, socially, educationally and politically and I am sure that you will be a power that will be accepted by everybody.

  • Expect the best, prepare for the worst.

  • Failure is a word unknown to me.

  • Islam expects every Muslim to do his duty, and if we realise our responsibility time will come soon when we shall justify ourselves worthy of a glorious past.

  • My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.

  • No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.

  • Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large.

  • Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope others will share with us.

  • That freedom can never be attained by a nation without suffering and sacrifice has been amply borne out by the recent tragic happenings in this subcontinent.

  • There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women.

  • Think 100 times before you take a decision, But once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.

  • We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play.

  • With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.

  • You have to stand guard over the development and maintenance of Islamic democracy, Islamic social justice and the equality of manhood in your own native soil.

Waiting for Jesus (pbuh)

Waiting for Jesus (pbuh):

Visiting this site, we will find some worthy jewels – and we should know also that the actual date of birth of Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is unknown. Contrary to the heading above "Waiting for Jesus (pbuh)", we have to try to do a few things also instead of just 'waiting' even if our actions do not yield results - still, the impossible will become possible only with the arrivals of the Mahdi (ra) and Prophet Isa (as)...

Islamic Scholars Consider Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) Second Coming as a Matter of Aqidah (Faith)

In almost all works that dwell on the essence of faith of the followers of Sunnah, there is reference to Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) coming to Earth before the Last Day, his struggle against Dajjal (Anti-Christ) and his killing him, and the pervasion of the morality of true religion over the Earth. Assessing the evidence from the Qur'an and the news provided by hadiths altogether, Islamic scholars have adopted faith in Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) return as an important tenet of faith. The related explanations are as follows:

1. In verse 157 of the Surat an-Nisa', God commands, "...They did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to seem so to them...." This verse, together with many others, reveal that Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is alive in God's sight and indicates that he will come to Earth for a second time. Reaching to consensus on this issue, Islamic scholars state that advocating a contrary suggestion is by no means possible. For instance in his commentary of this verse, Ibn Hazm stresses that someone who says Prophet Jesus (pbuh) is murdered would revert back from Islam or become a disbeliever.

2. The fact that the hadiths pertaining to Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) second coming are mutawatir, that is, so clear as to be immune to any doubts, is a great evidence for Muslims. Furthermore, there exists not a single different hadith that maintains otherwise - that is, any hadith that suggests that Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will not return.

3. Another evidence used by Islamic scholars is the hadith narrated by Jabir Ibn Abdullah which says, "Anyone who denies Mahdi's coming has denied what was revealed to Prophet Mohammed (may God bless him and grant him peace). Anyone who rejects Prophet Jesus' (pbuh), son of Maryam, coming has become a disbeliever. Anyone who does not accept Dajjal's appearance has also become a disbeliever."

There is reference to this hadith in very important Islamic resources such as, Fasl al-Khitab by Khwaja Parsa Bukhari, Maani al-Akhbar by Muhammed ibn Ibrahim Kalabadhi, Al-Rawd Al-Unuf by Suhayl, Arf-ul-wardi-fi Akhbar Mahdi by Jalaluddin Suyuti. This aside, Sheikh Abu Bakr has explained the chain of people who narrated this hadith. It is as follows (from the last person to the first): Muhammad Ibn Hasan, Abu Abdullah al-Hussein Ibn Muhammad, Isma'il Ibn Abi Uways, Malik Ibn Abas, Muhammad Ibn Munkadir, Jabir Ibn Abdullah.1

4. The abundance of narrators who reported the hadiths related to Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) coming and their trustworthiness is another issue to which Islamic scholars draw attention. Some of the narrators who reported these hadiths are: Abu'l Asas as-Sanani, Abu Rafi, Abul Aliyya, Abu Umama al-Bahili, Abu'd Darda', Abu Hurayra, Abu Malik al-Hudri, Jabir Ibn Abdullah, Hudhayfa Ibn Adis, Safina, Abu Qatada, Uthman Ibnul 'Aas, Nafi' Ibn Kaysani, Al Walid Ibn Muslim, Ammar Ibn Yathir, Abdullah Ibni Abbas...

As a result of all this information, Islamic scholars have considered faith in Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) return to Earth and the pervasion of the morality of the true religion as an important essence of faith.

Normal relationships Vs. Abnormal

Normal relationships Vs. Abnormal:

If a gay couple cannot produce a child on its own then how can some crazy people in this world scream about the "importance of other relationships such as gay parents"? Can we challenge nature when it did not intend to nurture such relationships? If such people cannot control certain trends by living together, the media in East should at least take responsibility by not projecting support for them. There's always a way out if right philosophies are promoted so that a man and a woman live in mutual love and harmony which is what nature intended in the first place. All other abnormal relationships should not be practiced openly and definitely not celebrated by the world through whatever media sources. Our Holy Qur'an also gives the story of an entire nation which was condemned and destroyed by God (Almighty Allah) because the inhabitants were engaged in such relationships without any regard for modesty & morality.

While advocating rights of such abnormal relationships, some people seem to forget the concept of "opposite-sex" and the objective of such relationships is the continuation of human race. All other relationships arose out of abnormalities in human life, just like drug-addiction, suicide tendencies etc. Some of the accepted norms in the West are considered very big evils in an Islamic society, especially those about which clear direction is given in Holy Qur'an, the word of Allah (God). We should have tolerance for such abnormal relationships but they should not be advertised in our Islamic society. Only then we can control them from spreading out to others! ~ Roman Ahsan.

How big is your light?

Bismillah-hir-Rahman-nir-Raheem

How BIG is YOUR LIGHT?
by Asma bint Shameem

You're sitting comfortably in your room when all of a sudden, the electricity goes off. It becomes completely dark. You can't see a thing. Although it is your own house, life comes to an inconvenient, complete halt.

That's because you can't see a thing! You dare not move, in the fear that you may knock something over or worse still, you may stumble and hurt yourself. Uncomfortable and unnerving, isn't it?

Now fast forward to an unknown time in the future......when it will be dark like this and even worse.....
when you.... and I...... and all of mankind.....will be gathered in the dark, in front of a bridge.....
a bridge that is sharper than a sword and thinner than a hair.....
a bridge called as-Siraat.......the bridge over Hellfire.

When the companions asked about the bridge, he (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: `It is a slippery (bridge) on which there are clamps and (hooks like) thorns which are wide at one side and narrow at the other and have bent ends... Some of the believers will cross the bridge as quickly as the wink of an eye, some others as quick as lightning, a strong wind, or fast horses or she-camels. So some will be safe without any harm; some will be safe after receiving some scratches, and some will fall down into Hellfire. The last person will cross by being dragged (over the bridge)."
Bukhaari

And then, it will be ordered that we all pass over this bridge. And we will have no choice but to comply to the order of the Lord of the Worlds. But it will be dark, darker than any darkness one can ever imagine.....

and on this horrific Day, mankind will be desperate... desperate to do anything, anything, to have some kind of light that will help them see the way and guide them to cross over the Siraat.

And then..... there will be light.

But, you know what? This light will only be according to the light of Imaan that you had in your heart during this Dunya.
If your Imaan was strong, so will be this light....strong and bright and illuminating. And if your Imaan was weak, this light will be weak too, dim and faltering and feeble.

Ibn Kathir reported in his Tafseer: "They will pass over the Siraat according to their deeds. Some of them will have a light as large as a mountain, some as a date tree, some as big as a man in the standing position. The least among them has a light as big as his index finger, it is lit at times and extinguished at other times.''
(Ibn Abi Hatim and Ibn Jarir).

Ibn al-Qayyim says: "For one person, it (the light) will be like the sun, for another like the moon, the stars or a lamp. For yet another, this light will be only at the tips of his toes; it will shine, then go out [then shine, then go out]. For just as his light had been in this world, so he shall be given when crossing the Bridge. In fact, it is the same light that had appeared to him before. However, just as the hypocrite has no real light in this world, or has only an outward light but none within, so shall he be given [on that Day] an outward light which will vanish in the darkness and be lost."

If you lived a life of righteousness and Taqwa, a life according to Islaam, submitting to Allaah and repenting to Him, obeying His commandments, hoping for His Mercy yet fearing His Wrath, taking care not to disobey Him to the best of your ability, then good news for you, O Muslim. Allaah will illuminate your path over the Siraat just like He illuminated your heart in this Dunya with guidance and righteousness.

"The Day (will surely come) when you shall see believing men and women with their light running before them and on their right hands, (it will be said to them): 'Glad tidings for you this Day. You shall live for ever in Gardens underneath which rivers flow! That is indeed the mighty triumph. (Surah Hadeed: 12)

BUT,
If you dared to disobey the Lord of the Worlds, following your whims and desires, earning haraam, lying, cheating and backbiting, involved in all sorts of sins and forgetting the Aakhirah, then dim and feeble will be your light in accordance with the deeds that YOU chose to commit.

Imagine the desperation, despair and hopelessness of a person in such a situation!

Complete darkness..... and a bridge, that he has to cross....a bridge so sharp and so slippery and so thin, with hooks....stretching over Hellfire....and he can't see a thing! May Allaah save us.
Wouldn't he give anything, anything to have a light that is strong and bright.....
A light that can illuminate his way across the Siraat....
A light that can take him to Jannah??!!
Alas...for him, it will be too late.....

BUT, it's not too late for YOU. You still have time. You still have a chance to make your light big and strong. All you have to do is to submit to Allaah and repent sincerely. Obey whatever He commands you to and stay away from whatever He forbids you from. Have Taqwa of Allaah in all that you say and do and Wallaahi, He will brighten your heart with Imaan, lighten your life in this Dunya and illuminate your way over the Siraat on to Jannah.

"O you who believe! Turn to Allaah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow. The Day that Allaah will not disgrace the Prophet (Muhammad ) and those who believe with him, their Light will run forward before them and with (their Records Books of deeds) in their right hands they will say: "Our Lord! Keep perfect our Light for us [and do not put it off till we cross over the Siraat safely] and grant us forgiveness. Verily, You are Able to do all things ."
(Surah Tahreem: 8)

So... How BIG is your LIGHT ???

Drone Strikes & Killing of innocent people

THOUGHT FOR MONDAY - DECEMBER 16, 2013

DRONE STRIKES & KILLING OF INNOCENT PEOPLE:

[Being shared without any political affiliation]

No foreign country has the right to intrude inside the borders of any country, whether drone strikes, helicopters or boots on ground. In Pakistan alone at least 400 innocent civilians have been killed so far in the US drone strikes since 2004. Other countries where drone strikes have been conducted are Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, Somalia and Gaza. US government (though US citizens are just like us) is acting like a big bully or policeman of the world right now, and it certainly is not fair. Imran Khan's party has rightly blocked NATO supplies to protest against these drone attacks.

Respected Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia. We agree and respect your Fatwa about suicide bombing and suicide bombers. Respected Sir, this Ummah needs your condemnation against Western terrorism in Muslim countries too. This Ummah needs your condemnation against US Drones because they are killing innocent Muslims. And above all this Ummah needs your Strong Fatwa against the Corrupt and Hypocrites Head of States of Muslim countries as they are supporting the imperial powers for the killing of innocent Muslims around the world. Respected Sir, we hope that you will sincerely consider this issue by putting your Job and Salary aside.

Kind Regards.

INSIGHTS - WEDNESDAY DEC. 04, 2013

-      Nothing special but a few things that need to be stressed...

1- DRONE ATTACKS AND PTI's STANCE - WE MUST APPRECIATE & SUPPORT PTI's STEP TO BLOCK NATO SUPPLIES WHICH IS STILL IN EFFECT [This is without any political affiliation - The country matters to all of us]

2- Six PPIB power projects to generate 1100MW by 2018

[AFTER YOU READ THE POST ABOVE] - Hydro-power could be an experiment but coal-based projects were considered in 2009 also (perhaps much earlier) relying on China's technical help, but no development took place in this sector. Our institutions have been under control of corrupt governments - unless the system is rectified at the top, there could be little progress in any sector. Look what has happened to PIA and Pakistan Railways. Zardari government even sold out some air-routes owned by PIA to other airlines and made money out of them.
