Concerns for Monday - August 12, 2013

CONCERNS FOR MONDAY – August 12, 2013:

Eid-ul-fitr days are over again like every year and we are back to reality. Some concerns which need to be highlighted:

-       Do we know that the new "democratically elected" government in Pakistan which assumed office two months ago has not appointed any persons as: 1- Foreign Minister, 2- Law Minister and 3- Defence Minister as yet (Source: ARY News)? So much efficiency!! And we can see the level of threats our country is facing! When will people in Pakistan learn that democracy in Pakistan is not government by the people, of the people and for the people but a sugar-coated dictatorship whereby the Pakistani government becomes slave due to borrowed loans from IMF and consequently signing of certain terms & conditions. It means little self-reliance and independent policy for Pakistan then.

-       For holding Pakistan responsible for Mumbai attacks and trying to prove that Ajmal Kassab is a Pakistani, it is demanded that “GEO TV” and Hamid Mir ask forgiveness from the whole nation. Those were acts of treachery towards Pakistan.

-       “If you have to defeat a nation, then spread immorality or vulgarity among its youth!” – Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi.

Aren’t most of the unnecessary TV channels in Pakistan doing exactly that?
