Jinnah's Idea of a separate homeland

JINNAH'S IDEA OF A SEPARATE HOMELAND FOR MUSLIMS:

For all those deluded ones who continue to insist that Islamic Republic should not be affixed with the name Pakistan, because Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, had not founded an Islamic state, but a secular one, they should read the quote in the image above!

Another quote by Quaid is: "Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope others will share with us." - Mohammad Ali Jinnah

Some people give the quote below to declare that the Quaid had a secular state in mind:

"You are free; you are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion, caste or creed—that has nothing to do with the business of the State.”

NOW: Actually, a true Islamic state always encourages religious freedom for individuals from any faith and rather safeguards their worshiping places. Hence, what some people think has nothing to do with what Quaid said. Qur'an is the same for all, so at least Qur'anic laws related to political, social and economic affairs should be implemented at state level of any Muslim country. That would result in safeguarding of the rights of minorities also. Right now, we have a secular governance system operating, that is why we see issues erupting every now and then.

Secular individuals can very well serve in an Islamic system also by the way. They will not be required to grow beard or forced to offer Salah in masjid. That is their personal matter. However, the system has to be Islamic and should revolve around Islam. And of course, capable senior individuals with the right inclinations should be entrusted duties in an Islamic governance system. One day soon, in Sha ALLAH.
