There's a very interesting fact about our Dear Prophet's (pbuh) life which we were not taught about at school or college.
I learned about it in the past two or three years. Before he was granted Prophethood, our Prophet (pbuh) had true dreams every night for six months. For example, he would see in a dream that he has gone to the market and a certain person has also come there to the very shop he is visiting. Next day he would go to market and behold that very person would arrive at the same shop he would be visiting. Meaning his dream would come true.
Almighty Allah was actually preparing our Prophet (pbuh) for six months before finally Angel Jibraeel (Gabriel as in Bible) appeared in cave Hira with the first revelation.
