POLITICAL TURMOIL IN PAKISTAN - June 08, 2023

Every true patriot in Pakistan supports Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan at least over his political opponents (though his visions of 'Madinah Riyasat' and 'Naya Pakistan' are faulty and his government also undertook many wrong steps during its tenure) - but if you watch the attached video at the end, you'll see that there is TIT FOR TAT going around here.
Secondly, we cannot ignore that it has become a fashion now to favor a certain political leader of Pakistan and to unnecessarily become too bold challenging the authorities crossing all limits. This is true not only for journalists but for common Pakistanis as well including influencers. The authorities will then definitely take some steps to crush their opponents so we have to opt for a middle ground.
In 2018, when the PTI government came to power, we saw Imran Khan stepping gracefully out of a limousine dressed in traditional white shalwar kameez and waistcoat, and former Army Chief General Bajwa saluting him. Came Pakistan Defence Day in September and we saw Imran Khan sincerely shedding a few tears sitting in a front seat before a song rendition on stage dedicated to Martyrs of Pakistan. At that time, the PTI followers were defending Pakistan Armed forces at all forums (including social media). What happened now? Now they are saying that Pakistan Armed forces are looting the country since 75 years. If that is God forbid entirely true then why were they defending Pakistan Defence forces in 2018 and 2019?
It is time all Pakistanis rise above their blind loyalties to political parties because this political system can never really liberate us, even if we agree that some political figures have a better moral standing compared to others. It is because in the end, the whole country will be in chaos and as we have seen in the last year, it already is!
