The situation is quite complex in tribal areas and every now and then some elements in Pakistan scream that we should not proceed ahead with negotiations with TTP in North. We agree that there are bloody terrorists there but we started everything ourselves in 2003 by sending troops to those areas, where they killed innocent people. You believe in the concept of UMMAH, right? When US attacked Afghanistan, our people from tribal areas started going to Afghanistan to help their brothers, the Afghan Taliban in their fight against the invaders. Both are pashtoon across the border. That was obviously not pleasing to US, so President Mussharraff was ordered to send our Army in those areas. Now who is the killer first? We love Pakistan Army but it was our government's fault to be allies of US in their hoax 'war on terror' in the first place. There is no confusion here!
As for foreign funded terrorists, that is true also and they also exist there. It needs to be repeated that the situation is quite complex. Some say there are 35 groups in tribal areas while others say there are 65 or more. But ALL OF THEM ARE NOT TERRORISTS FOR GOD'S SAKE. They are very particular about revenge since centuries. That's why they have been targeting Army officers to punish them for the crimes committed by earlier forces starting in 2003. There are fake Mullahs there are as well planted by external agencies who are misguiding the common tribesmen and issuing fatwaas against Pakistan state. Negotiations can calm down the situation and if they don't work out, then obviously we should start operations. All in all, it's a very tricky situation puzzling the best of minds. But I am in favor of negotiations also. ~ Roman Ahsan.
