CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH PEOPLE BECOME CLOSER WITH ALLAH
Given below is a recent tweet by Islamic scholar Mufti Ismail Menk. His tweets are always full of wisdom and describe the essence of Islam in few words. After this, read further for some philosophies of Islam.
"Remember, if the Almighty wants good for someone, He will create situations to draw him closer to his Maker. This can be in the form of poverty, heartbreak, repentance, desperate needfulness & whatever else through various means. Understand His Plan & act accordingly!" - Mufti Ismail Menk.
Now after reading the above statement what do you think? We would just like to say that some Muslims believe they are blessed just because they are progressing in life or because they have stable careers or because they have more wealth and property. The fact is success in this world is not a sure sign that Allah is happy with that person. As mentioned in Qur'an, wealth is just a test from Allah upon a particular person.
Hence, whether someone is successful in this worldly life or facing severe difficulties (God forbid), our success in afterlife depends on how much efforts we are making to proceed on the path prescribed by Allah and His Prophet (pbuh). We have to certainly strive to be successful in this world but not at the cost of goals for afterlife. It is because striving in the way of Allah requires from us to give up or sacrifice few things also as and when the situation arises (habits, customs, ways, people etc.).
May ALLAH guide us and protect us - Aameen.
