Prime Minister Imran Khan laid foundation of university at Sohawa. Imran Khan said in his speech that "we will make super science out of spirituality" (Hum Roohaaniat Ko Super Science Banaingay). But he pronounced the word "roohaniat" wrongly and got stuck in it.

Now about his aim to make super science out of Roohaniat. Science is from THE MATERIAL WORLD - Spirituality or Roohaaniat is never from THE MATERIAL - Spirituality is opposite of Science (though gaining scientific knowledge is not forbidden in Islam). Basically, science is derived from material sources while spirituality has nothing to do with the material. Spirituality is a gift from Allah to His close ones - even when one someone proceeds on the right path, we say it is only due to guidance (hidayat) of Allah.

If the head of the state of a Muslim country says publicly that he wants to make a super science out of spirituality then that is too misleading and it can negatively impact the beliefs of the nation at large. Thus, such a conduct or manner is highly irresponsible on part of a leader of Pakistan. The financial corruption of previous leaders should definitely be addressed but we cannot call ourselves moral just by doing so and have to consider our own ills also with an attempt to improve ourselves!

Only a few Muslims have spiritual experiences which cannot be achieved through conducting university research. We wonder why the Prime Minister wants to be innovative about Islam when his basic concepts are not correct as proved repeatedly by his gestures and actions especially since 2014 (before he was not so exposed as he has been lately and that is why we promoted him also then)?

So all this is basically leading the masses further astray from Islam. It should be remembered that nobody among us is without fault but the spirit of Islam should be understood properly and efforts made in that direction then.

In 2015, I even suggested in a post that Imran Khan needs to undergo a proper Islamic course of even 6 months or so to clear his many confusions about Islam (and to understand the true spirit of 'deen'). It is true that today some Islamic scholars or 'ulema' do not act very upright but there are still many good conventional Islamic institutions that are working according to the right spirit of Islam. Some modern institutions have also crept up today unfortunately whose only job is to challenge the conventional thought and philosophies of Islam and there is no doubt most of them are funded by enemies of Islam.
