The Final Meeting

My aunt (father's sister) Mrs. Ikhlaq, passed away on Sunday at the age of 92. On Saturday she asked for my parents and me to visit her as she had not been feeling well since two weeks. And so, we spent 3-4 hours with her yesterday. When we returned home, we received the news in the evening that she had expired. It was almost as if she knew that her departure was coming and so she called for us a day before. She always had a clean heart towards others and was a humble person, rare qualities. Today was her funeral. And so we all have to leave this temporary world one day. The drama will end and the curtain will drop.

Here in the pic above, I am holding her hand, earlier on Sunday morning, the same day she expired. Al-hamdulillah, Allah (swt) granted us the chance to spend some final moments with her. We stayed at her son's place for breakfast from 9:30 AM to 12 noon and received the news of her demise in the evening at our house.

May ALLAH (swt) grant her high status in afterlife - Aameen.
