Opinion-Makers
To be an opinion-maker, age and experience are necessary.
Otherwise, anyone can copy-paste stuff J Ralph Waldo Emerson says: "The
years teach what the days never know." - However, this post is not meant
to discourage anyone but to only lend a worthwhile thought.
Electronic media are definitely acting as opinion makers but
there are opinion makers on "alternative media" i.e. The Internet
also. If the users of Internet are not mature and lack experience, then they
can be swayed by any view which is floated there. That is the main concern
here. Secondly, to give opinions and suggestions on life, one needs a certain
maturity and experience, otherwise it all becomes just gossip. In the old days,
thought and opinion were only floated in "controlled" way and through
books, digests, radio and TV with people of knowledge administrating those affairs.
