RANDOM THOUGHTS - JUN 24, 2015
MASTERS Vs. SLAVES

The offenders hate those whom they want to enslave and the slaves hate their Masters. Time for deliverance has to arrive and for that we need to be a little aggressive lest the Masters take the better of us !!

GENERAL ZIA (LATE) - HERO OR ZERO?

I don't blame General Zia (late). He had tough challenges to face in his time and the liberals were always attacking him. He was a lover of Islam and he took some strong actions in favour of Islam (some of which didn't work out). Most of the others around him were not good people, so the burden was on him and he tried to play his cards well. Sheikh Imran Hosein, the Islamic scholar says: "General Zia did many good things and though he did some bad things also but Al-hamdulillah he died as a Momin and Shaheed."

TEACHERS FOR SCIENCE, BUT YOU WANT NO TEACHERS FOR ISLAM?

Just like we need teachers for learning the principles of Science, we need guides for teaching us the principles of Islam also. There are still many good scholars of Islam today but only if our heart is open to truth. We need not follow ONE scholar but we have the right to learn from different scholars and yes, at the same time, we should read Qur'an with understanding ourselves and also read books on hadith. Apart from that, there are many good books written by good writers and scholars from whom we can benefit continuously. To learn the spirit of Islam requires continuous efforts, but some of us like to defame all good efforts in spreading Islam by labelling people as "Mullah". And ALLAH (swt) knows our intentions very well.

FISH OUT OF WATER

Everybody wants to be a spiritual leader but nobody wants to seek knowledge from Islamic scholars - Without a guide, you are lost like a fish out of water. In these times, it is incumbent on us to follow not only Qur'anic translation but learn from different bona fide scholars of Islam also to arrive at the right spirit of 'deen'.
