MR. SABRI'S DEATH, TTP'S HAND AND THE ISSUE OF QAWWALI IN ISLAM:
Mr. Sabri's death is a tragedy but we should refrain from spreading panic and hysteria. He was killed by TTP which is sponsored by RAW to create unrest in Pakistan. Normal
Pakistanis don't go around killing people because of any kind of indifference
or intolerance.
We should still stick to truth no matter what. Is qawwali allowed in Islam? Many Pakistanis are giving the example of Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Chishti (ra) who was the founder of
qawwaali. The main thing is that our dear Prophet (pbuh) and his companions
never set the trend of qawwali rather the Prophet (pbuh) was against use of
music instruments, so should we follow Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Chishti (ra) or our
Prophet (pbuh)?
If you want to know true Sufism, then you should follow Sufi Barkat Ali (ra) of Pakistan who passed away in the 1990s. He used to recite a heavy dose of darood shareef on daily basis,
rather than spending time on music laden poetry.
