In Retrospect - Two More Economic Experts Leave

IN RETROSPECT - TWO MORE ECONOMIC EXPERTS LEAVE - WHAT TO DO NOW?

After Mr. Atif Mian was asked to step down from his position, two more economic experts resigned from economic advisory council as a protest. Government of Pakistan should not have appointed a Qadiyani as an advisor in the first place no matter how well-qualified one is. Some so-called Muslims who are not even aware of basic Islamic concepts are now shouting that all Pakistani Muslims are religious extremists.

Qadiyanis do not fall under the definition of minorities - they want to be called Muslims and label us in fact as 'Kafirs'. That way they have formed a state within state. We should not harm the Qadiyanis living in Pakistan but we need to beware of their basic philosophy.

In 1974, when Qadiyanis were declared Non-Muslims, the then Khalifa of Qadiyanis appeared in Parliament and he categorically said to the members of Parliament that if you don't believe in the prophethood (false) of Mirza Qadiyani then all of you are 'Kafirs'. Just imagine!

Quaid-e-Azam also appointed a Qadiyani as Minister but he undertook many steps at that time due to scarcity of resources and other issues. Now, there is no dire need to seek help of a Qadiyani as an economic advisor for the sake of Pakistan and especially when that person also patronizes a religious preaching center of Qadiyanis. We can seek the assistance of Hindus, Christians, Jews, Sikhs as they announce themselves clearly as Non-Muslims. But with Qadiyanis we have to be careful.

Today we see many highly educated and Westernized Muslims who will not care about even the basic concepts of Islam. Our salvation in afterlife depends on our allegiance to Allah and His Prophet (pbuh). Under the blue sky, we are all sinners but these breed of modern Pakistanis do not care about afterlife and just think of the glitter of present world. And these are the same kind of Muslims who are labelling the majority of people in Pakistan as 'extremists' for agitating against the appointment of Atif Mian.

Imran Khan's government needs to form an Islamic advisory council of proper conventional Islamic scholars who understand the challenges of modern world also. Instead of making big blunders like entrusting a Qadiyani with a responsible position for Pakistan at government level (even as economic advisor), advice should be sought from the panel of those conventional Islamic scholars.

Some names can be suggested in this regard. Orya Maqbool Jan Sahib is a sensible person who has served as a bureaucrat. He can be included in that panel apart from the senior members of research wing of Dr. Israr's Qur'an Academy etc.

The purpose of forming an Islamic panel is not that they should interfere in every government affair but to advise the government on what is right and what is wrong involving basic Islamic concepts 'as and when required'.

Atif Mian tweeted after his dismissal something like that he wanted to serve Pakistan but due to 'Mullahs' he has not been allowed to do so. In another tweet he has challenged that in Pakistan, Qadiyanis have been declared Non-Muslims when in fact it is based on fairness due to Qadiyanis rejecting the finality of Prophethoood (pbuh) i.e. rejecting that our dear Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last Prophet of Allah.

Of course, these people will always try to malign the spirit of true Islam by degrading even the Islamic scholars to the level of 'Mullahs' (though in the old days, even Mullah was a respectable term in the world of Islam).
